Credit Opt Out and related services

Being somewhat paranoid about identify theft (especially after my laptop was stolen), I've assembled some information to enable you to:

• Opt out of preapproved credit offers
• Get on the national Do Not Call list to reduce telemarketing calls.
• Opt out of direct mail and email
  
  This isn't quite as easy; for paper mail and telemarketing, you have to send them a physical piece of paper. These people also have a Do Not Call list; I don't know why, given the existance of the federal list.
